There are many myths about hospice care. One myth is that once a patient enrolls in hospice care, their attending physician can no longer be involved. This is simply not true. Many doctors remain involved with their patients while in hospice care. The doctor might continue to supervise the patient's care, or may want simply to remain informed of the patient's condition. The level of involvement is usually the choice of the patient and the physician.
