Hospice care utilizes a team approach to care in order to address the unique needs of each and every patient. Trained volunteers are a part of every hospice’s team. Volunteers serve in a myriad of ways. They can provide companionship to patients, run errands and even do some light housekeeping tasks. Hospice volunteers may also provide assistance with office/clerical duties. Hospice programs would suffer without the dedicated assistance and talents of volunteers.
